BOOK PAUL TODAY
I once read that 'anyone who puts business before family is a fool' so I make no apologies for opening my website with some personal information and family photos.
I married my childhood sweetheart Sian in 1974. We met some 7 years earlier at Smithills school Bolton. Once married we moved from Bolton to Rossendale to be in-between our families in Bolton and my job at Burnley Football Club. We have lived in the area for the last 37 years and have two children: Claire (36) who's married to Andrew, they live in Lymm, Cheshire and have two children Morgan aged 11 and Sadie aged 9. Our son Daniel (35) is married to Wendy. They live around the corner in Newchurch and have two children Tilly 7 and Alfie who is 6. Daniel runs a Travel business in Crawshawbooth, Collets Travel.
We live in an old farm which we have traced back to be the oldest building in Rossendale, built in 1604. One of the beams in a bedroom dates back to the 1500's.
Our Children and grandchildren are the centre of our lives and we all try to speak to each other every single day.
Every year we all go on holiday in Barbados together either at St James Villa, or Mango Bay Hotel in Holetown, Barbados. Our favourite place in the world - apart from Rawtenstall.
In January 2008, after 15 years of stadium design and build around the country, I was delighted to take up a consultancy role as Chief Executive at my beloved Burnley Football Club, to lead the team that will build and operate a striking new stand for both Burnley FC and the town of Burnley.
New Director Brendan Flood, tempted me back to Turf Moor because of his passion to take the Club forward over the next few years. It's also a great opportunity for me to repay a debt to Burnley FC for the wonderful career they provided for me from 1970 - 1980. These memories, the games, the team mates and the goals will stay with me all my life.
In May 2009 at the Championship Play Off Final at Wembley we beat Sheffield Untied 1-0 to return to the Premiership after 33 years. In our first home game at Turf Moor it was a special thrill to beat one of the worlds greatest teams Manchester United 1-0.
