Burnley Football Club intends to redevelop the David Fishwrick Field Stand (East Stand) at Turf Moor Burnley
The multi-purpose development will feature a wide range of revenue generating components which in turn will impact on the Clubs profitability and provide a landmark building helping to regenerate the town of Burnley.
This will allow the Club the opportunity to not only establish themselves in the Championship but allow the Club to challenge for promotion into the FA Premiership in future years.
The redeveloped stand will retain a similar amount of spectator season to the old Cricket Field Stand (c 3,000 spectators) but the additional facilities will include: Executive Boxes; Hotel; Residential Accommodation; Exhibition Space; Health & Fitness Club; Office Accommodation and a StadiArena, the first to be built in the world.
Since the Lord Justice Taylor Report in 1990 the UK Football industry has seen many new and redeveloped Stadiums. Burnley Football Club is now in a position to learn from both the mistakes and the innovations to ensure the new development will provide reliable income streams based on tried and tested formulae.
The project will commence in mid 2008 and be completed for the commencement of the 2010/2011 season. The development cost will be £30 million.
